About this event

Do you think you are hearing whispers of doubt? Do you think others will discover at any moment that you’re more of a fraud than a bona fide leader of volunteers? That’s the problem so many of us face no matter where we are in our careers. Join us for a Valentine’s Day talk about building self-confidence as we face and fight imposter syndrome as volunteer directors, managers and coordinators. We will chat about this very common feeling, identify coping skills and figure out how to believe we can be a great leader of volunteers!

Volunteer Fairfax serves the Fairfax County/Northern Virginia community. We mobilize people and resources to meet regional community needs. We achieve our mission through a variety of programs, special events, and services. Through these activities, Volunteer Fairfax strengthens the capacity of local nonprofits, connects for-profit resources to community need, matches volunteers to meaningful service, supports government programs, and hosts family-friendly volunteer opportunities. We are proud to be a source of volunteer management education.
